One of the things I love about Emme and Grace is how they were just there; they didn’t make a big presence and only stepped in when necessary. It was about me and my baby.

Between the empowerment and expertise that Emme pulls into any birthing situation and Grace's combination of technical know-how and ceaseless compassion, the Twin Cities couldn't ask for a better team of midwives.

Our prenatal and postnatal care was personalized and we never felt rushed through appointments. That felt like a luxury compared to the hospitalized approach, but we also realized that in an ideal world, this kind of care is what all birthing families deserve! We looked forward to every visit.

I am still blown away by the loving, skilled, knowledgeable, nurturing, informative, organized, beautiful, wonderful care we received from Emme and Grace, before birth, during labor and after the birth.

What did it mean to me to choose to birth my baby at home? Simply, homebirth gave me something I did not even realize had been taken away. A gift beyond imagining, as a woman, as a mother, as a human being.

My son was born swiftly into my arms on a beautiful summer afternoon with my women folk surrounding me and a breeze blowing through my open windows. I hesitate, only slightly, to use the word perfect. It was a gift to be able to birth my way from start to finish with advice, care and compassion from my midwives throughout my journey.

I have been a full-time birth doula in the Twin Cities area for about 5 years now. Having supported close to 200 births as a birth doula, I have had the opportunity to attend births with a very large variety of our community’s midwives, OB's and Family Practice Doctors. I have been witness to the ways in which these providers, support, treat, care for, respect, engage, listen to, and ultimately, keep their patients (my clients) safe during their births.

We are so grateful for your intentional care and support throughout our pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum! We really could not have done it without you. You went above and beyond in so many big and small ways to ensure we had the birth at home we hoped for. We can’t thank you enough for your love and help through this adventure and we look forward to telling our little ones about their amazing midwives!

I birthed my first child in a hospital setting and with my second baby I wanted to feel more in control, empowered, and that my desired birth experience was valued. After interviewing Emme, my husband and I had no hesitation with moving ahead with Trillium and a home birth! Emme has a calm, compassionate, and professional energy about her, and she was absolutely lovely to work with.
